For the 30th anniversary of HUIA Publisher, a 2D animation was created to celebrate the changes throughout generations. The animation featured iconic characters and images from HUIA's history, showcasing the publisher's dedication to promoting Maori and Pacific literature.

I was the lead 2D animator for this project. Working with the illustrator, me and my team managed to bring life into these beautiful artwork, using Adobe After Effects.

With a limited budget and timeline, and quite complex illustration, our approach to the animation is to have all the characters moving in slow motion, and creating dynamic animation through the camera movements, transitions and VFX.
